Open Source is an amazing concept. For those who don’t really know what it is here is a brief explanation.
When an application is made open source it is ‘set free’. This gives any programmer (who is familiar with the applications chosen language) the freedom to look at, adapt and fix the code to improve the application. Depending on the open source license chosen, the efforts of the programmer may also need to be given back to the community.
